If your a first-time buyer wondering what you need to buy a house or a flat, you've come to the right place. We can guide you through the whole process from start to finish and we don't charge broker fees.
How much deposit do you need? Before looking at properties you need to save for a deposit or accept a deposit gift from a close family member. Generally, you need at least 5% to 20% of the cost of the home. For example, if you want to buy a home costing £150,000, you will need to save at least £7,500 (5%). Saving more than 5% will give you a wider range of cheaper mortgages.
How much can you borrow? We will check affordability with you to make sure you can afford the monthly repayments, there are now strict checks when you apply for a mortgage but we can help with this process and let you know how much you could borrow so you know the value of properties to look at and view.
What will the monthly repayments be? Once affordability is established and we have advised and recommended a lender we will be able to provide you with a detailed quotation, this will include other costs like building and contents insurance, life cover and income protection, affordability for all these will need to be taken into consideration as well as the mortgage repayment.
